Although I love GW a lot and have a stacks of ectos, cash and elite weapons, I can't get back into the game in the same way as before - because there is nothing more left to do that to grind for more titles (I have 15 right now, which I find to be sufficient).

If weapons were elite, they should vary in BOTH looks and power. This is one reason why my friend argued with me and left for WOW. He now tells me it was the best decision he has ever made. I then tried out WOW and although there were a lot of elements that bugged me at first, I think it had WAY lot more features than GW.

Getting back to topic, there are tons of rich players in the game. Power trading and elite PvE are faster ways of making money, but ocourse there are other ways (duping? I don't think it's gone away fully) of making money.

One of the main attractions to GW is that you can actually get good equipment without spending hours playing.

Just because everyone and everyone's dog plays WoW doesn't mean it's a better game.
Last time I checked, better game = more fun = more people play it. So you can come up with a valid reason why GW is the best game ever but do not have the biggest population.
*Waits for "omg only smarter people play GW and there aren't that many smart people*

What Guild Wars said to deliver was that skill > time, and thus this type of crappy items were developed. Then, after only 2 years, the game completely shifted around with the introduction of titles. They end up worse than level grinding/weapon farming because they don't actually give you tangible bonuses. People began to lose interest, and GW goes downhill.
This is why GW2 sounds suspiciously like WOW.
If you still think GW style of gameplay is the best, well that's your opinion. Just don't look forward to GW2.

It is all the duping of armbraces.A guy in grotto showed me 7 stacks of armbraces and he told me he had like another 50 stacks or even more.He told me that he and a couple of his buddys work in a group and pass the armbraces around between the other players. He can make around 500 armbraces within 1 hour.He did not tell me any other information about how he does the duping process though.I think this will become a problem if this guy starts selling these at 100k or just buy's rare minipets with these.I cant remember his name I think it started with a k though, but I remember he was a male warrior wearing obsidian armor and chaos gloves.I wish I could have taken a screenshot of this I was just drooling when I saw this and it was like 2 a.m. at the time.

You totally missed my point.
Bravo on being clueless as usual.

And just for the lulz...

Doom metal is better than nearly all the 'popular' shit that you call music, and has a much smaller fanbase. lolol

The reason people prefer WoW is obviously for the great graphics and the outstanding PvP. Oh yeah, and the fabulous sound. The lag-free cities. Mounts! What is map travel compared to five minutes on a mount? The internet IS for porn, anyway. Hmmm... What was the question again?

You have your causation mixed up, a common logical falicy.
If A cause B which causes C, that does not mean C causes B causes A

A better game will lead to more fun which will lead to more people playing it.
That does not mean more people playing it leads to more fun which leads to a better game.

As an example, the number 1 selling computer game of all time is "The Sims 2." Most computer game fans and game reviewers will agree that that is not the best game of all time.

I am sorry but I played WoW for about 4 months during my guild wars break (horrible idea and a waste of money) I got sick of the graphics, my stomach got sick just because of the graphics, IMHO guild wars graphics kick the snot out of WoW's graphics...

OP: Are you for real? Do you seriously wonder how people got rich?
You can only prosper by playing.

It's not hard to make cash. Most are too lazy, or unwilling to put in the time/effort.
This post is win. I only do 1, 2, and 4. I only spend gold on skills, armor, and hero equipment. Never had less than 300K since Factions.

Hmmmm. Let me think;

2+ years of game play
Not wasting it on Golds, 15K armor, FOW, Title hunting
Farming
Getting R12 in Kurzick

Did I miss anything?

Come on.... Stupid question, please close now!

+1 opportunity

Just to add...

I have to believe that Anet did NOT get all the people that duped, but the majority got slammed. The smart ones probably used secondary accounts and then transfered off to multiple tertiary accounts before re-consolidating to a primary.

As much as you don't believe it, it's true - - -

Duping and gold sellers have truly jacked up the amount of money people have in this game.

This is actually the reason I started playing Guild Wars again instead of Diablo 2. I had experience in both of them, although much more extensive experience in Diablo 2, but most of that "experience" was just MFing Andy and Meph all day and sticking a few sets of 20 CS runs in-between, plus the ever hated realm down.

I caught a hydra once. Hydra have always existed and it put the salmon fishermen out of business.

And that's a watered down version of the duping crap I hear on Guru every time a "How do I make money?" thread is open.

One person asks how to make money, one person jokes duping, another follows it up with how dupers are real, Anet is the son of satan and people like Red Sonya, who probably got kicked from a raid for ninjaing again, come to vent their frustration.

Seriously people.

Probably 10% of the "uber rich" made their money from exploits. I highly doubt a larger percentage became rich unfairly and got away with it.
